  1. I use my elbow to hold down one side of the ring while i get the petals under the opposite side. Maybe a brick or something you can set on it will help you.

It came recommended to me by a friend who has it and I love it. I have a lot of cast iron also but it just isn't able to serve every purpose. Its too heavy for flipping fast cooking food like you might in a skillet.

  4. Yea... THAT is where I stand. I'm frustrated with it. It's put together but i'm gonna roll it back in the garage and I'm not gonna look at it again for a while.
  5. I am about ready to set mine out at the street and let the garbage man come pick it up. I'll admit I am not good at putting things together but this thing is by far the biggest pain in the ### on assembly I have come across in a long time. The catch-22 on this is that, after trying to work through this process, I would NEVER buy one assembled by Lowes, Home Depot, or Walmart. I don't think I could trust those folks to do this correctly.

  8. I have this Roccbox for the purpose of creating some promo video content and reviews for Atlanta Grill Company. I am putting it through its paces.
  9. 3 to 4 hours at 135 or whatever temp you cooked it to originally.
  10. It takes it a while.... The first time I tested it took about 45 minutes... the second time it got there a bit quicker and i'm wondering if it hadn't cooled down completely.... I dunno how long it takes it to cool down... I would three hours at a bare minimum. The outside will be handle-able in an hour or so....
  11. The good news is that it's all about preference. There isn't a right or a wrong way. I prefer very light smoke on poultry... so light that I will often times not add any smoking wood to the cook. I prefer the hotter cook to make the skin on the bird have a better bite characteristic.
