  1. Just got a notice that my order shipped from Atlanta today!
  2. I pre-ordered all three! Can't wait to test them out!!
  3. Where can you buy one of these?
  4. Have you tightened all the bolts on the bands and hinge? The two on the back of the hinge and the two on the bands? Does this happen at all temps, or just high temp? I have tightend the hinges and they were tight. I have not tightend the bands. I will check those today. Thanks. Well I emailed KJ Support and asked them to close my ticket. I tightened or I thought I had tightened everything until I moved my Big Joe out from our iron fence a little. I discovered two other places to tighten up the hinges. Now my lid is as good as new. I've only had Big Joe since July, but I will classify this as operator error!

  6. I also have an open ticket with support. My lid has come crashing down and now I hold it open with one hand and work with the other. I will take my picture and video and send it to support tomorrow.
  7. Thanks for your help. Held temp until dinner. Everyone raved about it, so I guess it was good!
  8. I put my pork butt on as I usually do around midnight. It was a ten plus pounder. Anyway the wether changed the winds blew and it cook at 300+ all night. So now a 7 am it's done and dinner is at 5. Do I stop and keep it the oven a 170 or pull it now and re heat. Any advice would be appreciated.
  9. Thanks for all of your help. I do tend to chase the temperature on this. I've cooking on a pellet grill for years before I bought my KJ. I should know better. I graph all my cooks on the pellet grill and the temperatures fluctuate, but at the end of the cook the average temp is within a few degrees of my set point. I'm sure the same goes with this grill. Just my learning curve! Thanks again. As far as the pork goes, it's almost done!
  10. Last night was my 2nd long cook on my Big Joe. 10lb Boston Butt. My first cook was a brisket and that went well. This one is a little different. I was looking for about 225 degrees. Closed both bottom and top dampers as I did the last time at 175, but the temperature settled in at 260. Too make a long story short I ended up closing the bottom vent and the top vent almost all the way. Midnight after a 10PM start the temperature was at 237. Close enough. At 5am the cooker was at 215 so I cracked the top daisy wheel every so slightly and temperature climbed to 253. The pictures will show where the vents were when I hit 237. Just wondering if I may have an air leak. Just looking for a little insight. Thanks so much.
  11. First smoke on Joe. Did some grilling but I thought I would start out easy with some ribs.
  12. Speaking of sideways pictures where do I find how to correct that??
  13. Thanks for all the welcomes. Fired it up tonight just try it out. Chicken breasts were great. We're going to get along just fine!
