What is your favorite lump coal?

I've used mostly wicked good lump charcoal. I like it. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk

  3. Nice. Love me some Stone! Used to live in Temecula but now in TN. Haven't found Arrogant Basterd out here yet but the search continues. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk

    Attempting my first overnighter.

The night was mostly uneventful. At about 1:30 my temp alarm went off. I had the high set at 250°. So I closed my top vent a bit. Then about 4 hours later my alarm went off again only this time it was at 200°. So again opened the top vent just a hair. Woke up this morning temp was a little cool at about 205° and meat is at 159°. More pics when she's done. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk

    Attempting my first overnighter.

I would rather have started this morning and cooked at a higher temp but I wanted to try my first overnight for when I take the plunge into brisket. Also figured I had entry of time, not eating till about 5:30. Thanks. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  6. Fired up the vision at about 10:30. Slowly brought up to 225° and let stabilize. 9lbs of swine goodness. On at midnight. Should be done at about 1:30. Then wrap and rest in the cooler a few hours. Wish me luck. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk

    Advise on pork butt.

I'm having a birthday bbq in a couple weeks. Planning on cooking enough butts to feed 12 adults and 4 children. My question is how many pounds of meat do you all suggest? I've got a vision signature with a diy second rack so I have plenty of room for 3-4 butts. Also is the 1.5 hours per lb a good rule of thumb? (ie 15 lbs = 22.5 hours) Thanks. Vision signature draft settings

Hello. Just got my first kamado style smoker, a vision signature gourmet. I've grilled a few things so far but will be doing my first smoke on it next Sunday, a ham. Where should I set my draft door and top at for a cook about 225°? Also any other tips or advise are greatly appreciated. I've soon a lot of smoking on my old UDS but kamado cooking is new to me. Thanks.
