  1. Saw that my Publix has their own brand of lump charcoal. Has anyone tried this - it's under their Greenwise brand. If no one has, I'll take one for the team and report back
  2. Hey guys - Got to seasoning my grill today and then the skies opened up. In Florida this happens often and usually for a short stretch of 30-45 minutes. Any advice for your rain setups when quitting or non-starting isn't an option? Is the smoker safe to run under a 10x10 tailgate style tent? Do you rush to dry it off on the outside after the rain or let it be? Any other tips?
  3. Sorry for the late reply - just got to a computer and found the site. The site I used was: http://renovopower.com/lowes.html
  4. Marked down 10% from 299 to 269. I easily found a 10% off online order code online to bring it down to $242.10 with free in-store pickup. Added the cover and some Weber wax starters to the order (all at 10% off) and used a gift card website for an extra 6% off. Final out of pocket, after FL sales tax was $276.18 for grill + cover + wax starters. http://www.lowes.com/pd_131712-49769-6719_0__?productId=3609214&store_code=1598&cm_mmc=SCE_PLA-_-SeasonalLiving-_-Grills-_-3609214:Char-Griller&CAWELAID=&kpid=3609214&CAWELAID=1187717793&k_clickID=dccb50c8-7807-4b56-8d55-e5e4fad94944
  5. Thanks for the quick responses. Looking forward to tomorrows purchase.
  6. New poster here. Looking forward to my first approved post (so I can fix the typo in my username!) and to purchasing my first kamado tomorrow! Glad I found this place. Right now, I can purchase a 6520 that comes with the side cart for $299 at HD or the 6620 that comes with the stand and folding side tables for $332. It appears that the 6520 gives me more (the cart) for less...but I wanted to check to see if there was any reason to go with the 6620 instead feature/spec wise? Thanks!
