  1. Why does this forum get so ruffled when others post their opinions? That's the great thing about the Internet and the various forums that go along with it. It's a place to state your opinion, not to attack another person for his opinion because your opinion differs. There are just as many or more "my KJ firebowl cracked" or "my JOEtisserre does not fit my KJ" posts as Akron problems. No one company is perfect. This whole "Big 3" fanboy rhetoric gets old. The guy likes his Akron better than the "Big 3"--let him opine. No need to get so defensive. Go cook. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks for the heads up. Just got my 5 bags, and they even stacked my 10% mil discount as well! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Very nice! Let me know when the Vision version is ready! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Nice cook. In fact, your video made me go grab 4 cowboy ribeyes from Sam's. I enjoy your videos, but please step up a shirt size please! The Saran Wrap fit is a bit disconcerting! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. I like Tarheels advice. Let them break the Vision and buy a new KJ. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. I think you are chasing your tail adjusting the bands to make the JT fit, unless you plan on only using the JT all the time. It would get quite annoying to adjust the top bands every time you swap out. From what I read, the JT is designed as a drop in fit, and not an adjust to fit item. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. I eat at food trucks all the time, but I live in Austin and there is an awesome eclectic food truck industry here. I try a lot of of them and return to the ones that really stand out and offer something unique--not your regular run of the mill offerings. We here in Austin can be picky in our food truck selection. Your burger looks good but the plain jane potato bun keeps it from top notch. Try a brioche or something exotic or unique that sets it off. Nacho presentation is nice, but the canned nacho cheese sauce would keep me away. Master a queso recipe and stay away from the neon cheese sauce that screams county fair or high school football game fare. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Looks great Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I was just reminiscing and I can't remember his wrap/no wrap philosophy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I had the opportunity to hang out with John Mueller a couple overnights while he was manning his pit, several hours at a time. Did my best to inhale as much knowledge as possible. His basic mantra never changed---nothing mysterious about the brisket. Practice and repetition. And ONLY salt and pepper, over post oak wood! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Great use of a pork loin. Can't wait to try this cook. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. So KJ customer service dropped the ball. Why not share the fix so others may benefit if they have the same problem? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. I really hate when social media drama is dragged onto a forum. Leave social media BS where it belongs. On Facebook. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Wing Nachos? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. I can't wait to try this.
