  1. Just got my Big Joe on Father's Day and have already burned thru 3 bags and opened the 4th this past weekend (and before I get any slack, I travel Mon - Fri so only cook on the KJ on weekends [emoji1]). I am looking to "stock up" before the stores change out their "seasonal" stuff! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I learned to make biscuits from my grandmother, basically by sight and feel. (It's still one of my pipe dreams to someday open a biscuit hut named after her.) There is no exact recipe, and neither of us ever really measured anything, but shortly before she died we sat down together and tried to figure as closely as possible how to write it all down for my cousin. . Man, that is awesome! Can't wait to try it!! Good thing we have a 3 day weekend coming up! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. I have a small Lodge pan. Now I am pondering the cast iron griddle vs a larger cast iron pan Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Looks awesome! What recipe did you use for the biscuits? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Yeah, that didn't happen. Stomach was in control at that point and totally forgot to get an after picture! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Felt the need for some steak and veggies and wanted to try something different. Grilled up some corn on the cob, pan fried potato slices, and steak. Corn on the cob was some of the best ever! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Looks awesome. Had the opportunity to stop by Kamado Joe HQ the other day and have a tour of the facility. New hinge looks / feels awesome as well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I echo andy's comment. The price of KJ lump is worth a trip alone - then eat all the samples from the Costco samplers! [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Welcome Kaiser. My wife says the same thing (because of how much time I spend cooking now) but one the food comes of the Joe she is happy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. The way that the wind blows my neighbors get bbq smoke every weekend. I apologize when I see them BUT they are different than you neighbors because they don't mind (maybe it is because my wife gives them a sample all the time) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Welcome to the obsession! [emoji1] Hope you have fun on the Joe! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Full disclosure - I have not tried either one; however, all the food I have had (been twice) has been really good. Key Lime Pie St Louis Ribs (and rub) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Here is their website: http://www.kamadogrille.com/ Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. I travel every week so I get to use my Kamado on weekends. I traveled to Raleigh, NC and low and behold they have a place called Kamado Grille. They cook on 12 Kamado Joes. Add to that if you want a recipe of what they have on the menu they will print it off for you. They also do tours of the kitchen!! If you go to Raleigh you have to check this olace out!
