  3. Let but rest and turned out great. Nice smoke ring Bottom side bark was a little dry but I attribute that to the sugar in the tub and the higher then desired temp. Thanks for all the input Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. We'll cook went well I guess. Faster then I thought. Temp leveled out at 300. And ended up hitting internal temp in 9 hours. I was shooting for 12 but maybe next time. Going to have to do the vent mod. I think that may have been sucking some additional air around the vent Its wrapped and resting now. Hopefully it tastes ok Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. Greetings fellow smokers! Me and this AKORN are meant to be. I purchased mine brand new last week for 109.00. On clearance at Target. [emoji1] I just left Lowes before Target and was going to head home to pick up my truck and get it. After a quick stop at Target for accessories I ran into the AKORN and saw it 225 dollars cheaper then Lowes. Meant to be!! I have been reading on the art of the AKORN. All week and tonight armed with your knowledge I am doing a 11 lb pork butt for a family BBQ tomorrow evening. Fingers crossed!! Temp has stabilized at 250 as of now.
