  1. Nice, looks great!!
  2. I do use it without the grate. The only thing I do is shake out the basket, then put some new charcoal on top and then light.
  3. My biggest plus for the KAB is the cleaning aspect. Just shake out the coals, add some new and go. It really is nice. The other things NCJeff mentioned are just icing on the cake (for me).
  4. The KJ lump is a great price during the Costco roadshows. Check out here if one is near you: https://www.costco.com/kamado-joe-schedule.html
  5. I second the kick ash basket, and one of the best surprises of this whole experience to me has been the joetisserie. HIGHLY recommend it.
  6. My bacon turned out great too! It wasn't as salted as I'd like but nothing a little tweaking can't fix. I wish I had a meat slicer though, it's a pain to slice.
  7. I have one of these too. Works great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I've cooked in the rain a few times already! Seems to work fine for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. very nice!
  10. Oh wow, that looks great. Mine should be done curing tomorrow or Wednesday!
  11. Did these along with a roast for mothers day. HUGE hit. Thanks so much!
  12. I followed your procedure for a mothers day roast and it turned out great! Thank you for posting this!!
  13. Nice, that's what I figured, I got it mostly for steaks (get it on Saturday), but thought it might work well for this too.
  14. These things turned out amazing ! I don't have the cast iron griddle so I just used an upside down cast iron pan. Worked great. Has anyone tried these with the soapstone grill plate? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Ok cool! Let me know how it turns out. I may get some this weekend.
