    Kamado Joe
  1. Hello from Long Island

Your're number 3 (that I know of from L.I.) Welcome. I bought a Big Joe from Gringer's appliance in Commack (across from Home Depot) Price was good and didn't want to deal with the shipping. Very happy so far. - Kris
  2. Spinning a leg of lamb on the Joetesserie

looks terrific Ron ! - Kris
  3. New Big Joe delivered with some injuries.

This is why I bought local. I was afraid of the shipping. It coming damaged. I am glad they are going to send Ron the parts to fix it and they should but at the same time He bought it new and should not have to rebuild/ replace anything. Now that Kingfish pointed out the straps and with the damage Ron showed it might have tipped over at some point. - Kris
  4. New Big Joe delivered with some injuries.

True. Your food pics look terrific by the way! Kris
  5. New Big Joe delivered with some injuries.

Ok, I was just curious I see you are from L.I. I bought mine from Gringer & sons appliance in Commack and when they delivered mine they dropped it off the truck ( from 5ft ) and were trying to get me to accept it. Naturally I told them to get me another one. I was wondering if you bought from them. Kris
  6. New Big Joe delivered with some injuries.

Ron- Where did you buy it from ? Who delivered it? Kris
  7. 2017 Big Joe cover recommendation

This one is the best that I have found: Qtensils KQX-044 Innerflow Series Ventilated Kamado Grill Cover, 44-Inch by Qtensils Look it up on Amazon. Kris
  8. Fitment of joetisserie on big Joe

I'm new at this too. I thought the Joetisserie would have covered the whole bottom edge too. That's why I posted this thread . Thought it would be a little beefier too. and of course the motor. When I researched which Kamado it seemed to me like KJ went the extra mile with features and quality. But it seems their cover and the joetisserie could use a little improvement imho. All in all I am happy though. Kris
  9. Fitment of joetisserie on big Joe

Good observations, LOL, I like them all . I find cleaning it out easy with the KAB and I prefer cast iron. I also have ( not pictured ) the half moon cast iron reversible griddle. I have not used it yet but am sure I will like it. The only thing I am not sure about is the Joetisserie. Not sure about the quality of the motor. It seems cheap. I have a rotisserie on a DCS bbq and that motor is quality. There is no comparison between the two. - Kris
  10. Fitment of joetisserie on big Joe

Thanks guys! Really appreciate it!! I will get some meat pics on next cook. Kris
  11. Has the new model Joetisserie been released?

I posted pics on my "fitment" thread. Kris
  12. Fitment of joetisserie on big Joe

So it is just supposed to sit on the gasket ?
  13. Just got my Joetisserie for my Big Joe and am not sure of how it is suppose to sit on the Big Joe. I thought it would hang over the edge. Does this look right ? - Kris
  14. Has the new model Joetisserie been released?

I am due to get mine tomorrow. I will post pics. Kris
  15. Has the new model Joetisserie been released?

I just bought one from bbqguys. I didn't know there was a new coming out. Does anyone know what the difference is between the old and new ? Kris
