  1. Fitment of joetisserie on big Joe

I'm new at this too. I thought the Joetisserie would have covered the whole bottom edge too. That's why I posted this thread . Thought it would be a little beefier too. and of course the motor. When I researched which Kamado it seemed to me like KJ went the extra mile with features and quality. But it seems their cover and the joetisserie could use a little improvement imho. All in all I am happy though. Kris
  2. Fitment of joetisserie on big Joe

Good observations, LOL, I like them all . I find cleaning it out easy with the KAB and I prefer cast iron. I also have ( not pictured ) the half moon cast iron reversible griddle. I have not used it yet but am sure I will like it. The only thing I am not sure about is the Joetisserie. Not sure about the quality of the motor. It seems cheap. I have a rotisserie on a DCS bbq and that motor is quality. There is no comparison between the two. - Kris

  6. Just got my Joetisserie for my Big Joe and am not sure of how it is suppose to sit on the Big Joe. I thought it would hang over the edge. Does this look right ? - Kris

I just bought one from bbqguys. I didn't know there was a new coming out. Does anyone know what the difference is between the old and new ? Kris
  9. What's a good grill cover for the classic Joe?

Saw a pic of it on the KJ website. Investigating it now. Thanks - Kris

  11. What's a good grill cover for the classic Joe?

Gunsmoke1- Can you please provide a link or model number for which cover you have? I would like a cover for my Big Joe and am not sure which size to get. The biggest cover I see at the cover store website is 34" dia. But the KJ website lists the Big Joe at 50" wide. Thanks - Kris

  13. Hello form L.I. NY

Hello nice Kamado people, I am a new Kamado Joe "Big Joe" owner. I am on my second one because the delivery men dropped the first one I bought off the truck ( from 5ft ) when delivering it to me. As it sat on the asphalt roadway the driver asked me where I wanted it. And how far are we going. Naturally I said not far put it back on the truck I don't want it. Bring me another. I have to say though I did look at it and didn't see any cracks in it. Just bent metal but didn't want to take a chance. I had my first cook last week (4th July) . Did a 3 rib prime rib with apple wood. It was delicious. I was going for medium rare and it ended up a little more but still was nice. I have to learn how to open and or close the doors to get the correct temp. I also have to get a thermometer that can take the temp with the top closed. I was using a thermopen. I discovered John's videos on you tube and found this forum and look forward to meeting everyone and learning. Hopefully everyone can help me become a better Kamado chef. - Kris
