  1. Just a thought, condensation would probably happen because the damn thing is so well insulated. Wouldn't keeping vents slightly opened under the cover eliminate the temperature differences that cause the condensation?

    Brisket cook

I haven't been using this grill very long, but I have had no problems keeping the temperature down. One piece of advice I have is to make sure it is a small fire, ie don't light all the charcoal. My dome thermometer is consistently lower than the digital I clip at the grate, usually by about 30-40 degrees.
  3. Yeah, customer service saw a video and said it was a normal amount. Was able to hold 260 on the second cook no problem so I'm not going to sweat it right now.
  4. Anyone have a problem after lightning for the first time where the seal is leaking on the lid? Smoke coming out the side.
  5. Did it last night. Took one hour and twenty minutes taking my time. Comments about the legs were very helpful. Thing feels well made, looking forward to this weekend.
  6. Thanks guys. Just wanted to make sure it was something that was ok to start after work. Sounds like it is.
  7. Hi All, I got my AKORN yesterday. I am just curious as to how long it takes to assemble. I am pretty good at stuff like this usually.
