So I’m assuming Auplex is lower quality? I don’t know anything about it
-
So it is essentially the same parts and quality of a vision? @KismetKamado

Raylam22 started following Introduction, Bravo Profire Kamado Reviews, KJ Classic Vs Classic ii and and 2 others

Doesn’t anyone have experience with or know anything about Bravo Kamados? Somebody is selling for $500, but I think they will go down to $450.

Ace Hardware is selling the Kamado Joe Classic for $699. The cheapest I can find the Classic ii is $1199. I know the upgrades are great but I can’t imagine anyone thinks it’s worth paying $500 more? I have the option to upgrade the top vent for $55 but still $450 cheaper. Are the other features worth the money? I just realized the description says it includes the Kontrol tower top vent...not sure if this is a mistake? What am I missing??????

@Kamado Ken the snap branded Kamado is a Brinkmann Trailmaster Ceramic Egg that they do not make anymore and it’s difficult to get parts. You can contact a snap on dealer and they should have everything you need. I needed a top vent and got one (not yet but should have it soon) for $14. Here’s the parts list https://www.kamadoguru.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=58719 you can also get some parts from this site but seems expensive $225 for the firebox. I’m guessing that’s not an option. Best of luck! https://www.appliancefactoryparts.com/search/part/2149966/216280/

@JdRycher I am in need of the top vent for the snap on Kamado. Can you still get the part from your snap on dealer? -
@TKOBBQ the inside diameter of the vision top was 8 1/4 inches....2+ inches more than what it needs to be. Is that too much space to make up with 2-3 layers of gasket material? @St1brew i also came across that site and noticed it was unavailable. I will try emailing the to see if they can help. As to the amazon link you provided, I believe that is 6 inches from edge to edge just like most of the others... Thanks for the recommendations!

So the vision replacement was way too big....I’ve tried smokeware, the dracryus vision, and the big green egg replacements. I need something that is about 6 - 6.5 inches inside diameter to fit tight. Can anyone recommend a mod? @St1brew @KismetKamado

I ordered the vision replacement and it looks like that should work. I’ll will post an update when it arrives. Thank you all for your help!

Thanks for having me in this forum. My name is Ray and I live about 20 miles north of Boston. I just picked up a Brinkmann Trailmaster Egg off of Craig’s list for $250...it has never been used. It is actually Snap-On branded and I found this forum because you guys were talking about these a bit back in 2014-2015. Unfortunately, on my drive home I lost the top vent on the highway. I’m having a lot of trouble finding a suitable replacement as the inside diameter needs to be at least 6 inches. Any help and recommendations would be much appreciated.

Any new recommendations for replacing the top vent? I just picked this up on Craigslist, brand new never used and the top came off on my drive home.
