  1. New Flame Boss 300

Talbert, how long have you been able to run on your battery pack? I've been contemplating getting one for a while but would like to know I could likely get at least 10 hours out of it if need be.
  2. Flame Boss App

Just downloaded. Thanks for the heads up!
  3. Steak night. 16oz Ribeye.

    That is one beautiful steak!
  4. John's chili dogs

Reminds me I have been meaning to try his hot dog chili recipe but just haven't gotten around to it yet. Have to get it on the agenda soon - those dogs look great.
  5. Father's Day Burgers

That burger looks great and that sauce is now on my 'to do' list next time I make burgers!
  6. Bacon Cheeseburgers ala Griddle

    Out-friggin-standing. Bravo.
  7. Personal weather stations

I've had a couple and the one sure-fire lesson I've learned is that you really do get what you pay for when it comes to a PWS. None of mine have ever been connected to WU but I do want to save up and spring for a higher end one one day and do that.
  8. I've gone 6 hours with a brisket and it was still plenty hot.
  9. Smash burgers indoors

I wish I had grabbed one of these before they quit making them. Don't know why they stopped. I use a lodge press now that doesn't have ridges and it seems to work OK. You can try this instead: https://www.cast-iron-grate.com/smasher.html
  10. Primo Oval question

You mean less even compared to another ceramic like the KJ or BGE? I couldn't answer that as I have never cooked on one of the others. I love my Oval XL. It does tend to get a bit hotter towards the back than in the front but nothing unmanageable or intolerable. I'm of the opinion that every grill tends to have hotter/cooler spots - including my Camp Chef Flat Top.
  11. Flame Boss CS 5 Stars

Absolutely agree that FB's customer service is top notch. Maybe the best I've ever dealt with.
  12. According to the manual, the 4 years is on the metal parts, thermo, and wheels. Ceramics have a limited lifetime warranty.
  13. Primo Warranty

That's what they recently told me when I filed a warranty clain for a cracked firebox. I guess I better hope they're still in business when/if mine completely fails otherwise I've got a big pile of nothing. Seems to me other manufacturers replace cracked fireboxes even without total failure. Very disappointed in Primo for this.
  14. Another Maverick Et-732 post

Mine does that occasionally (including last night). It seems (last night anyway), it is when the wire gets bent into a sharp radius. I stretched it all out and it started reading fine. Fortunately it doesn't happen often but kind of frustrating to have to deal with when it does.
  15. That is an awesome looking meal, ron. I've got drool running all over myself now - thanks a lot...
