I'm not sure if this is the right place,to post this. But here I go.My son shot two deer so far this year, and I wanna make some jerky.Last year I used the acorn, but didn't get much smokey taste.I think that I would get a better result, using the char-griller.I only use the char-griller,now for smoking cheese. If I use it for making jerky, does the coals need to be right in the smoker,or can I just bulid the fire in the side fire box?

I'm 66yrs old, with two broken knees.Lol.I put my truck in four wheel drive, and just keep on driving back and forth, till the snow is packed down.Lol.I do shovel a path for linda, from the stoop to her car, right through the front lawn. I'm hoping for no snow this year.Jan 18th,is when i'm having my knee replaced again.I'll be laid up for awhile.

Hey Jack, may I stay with you next month, after my knee surgery? Great cook. -
I smoked some cheese for a lady, who added it to her mac &cheese. She said that it was the best mac & cheese.I didn't charge her,now she wants more for the holidays, but she wants to pay. After the cost of the cheese, what do you guys think, would be a fair price?I did see baiscly the same cheese online for $6.99,throw in shipping cost,it came to $24.99.I think $5.00 for an 8oz block,is fairI'm open to suggestions. Thanks,Bill.

My son and I went bass fishing yesterday, and I got blindsided in the face,by a lure.Billy was fishing a big top water lure, with six hooks.I was sitting down in the boat about 3pm,ready to call it a day.Billy was fishing and was hung up in a tree.I hear him yell, coming at you,and then a thud. This lure hit my cheek, burying one of the hooks,in my face.We headed to the ER,and the doctor wanted to numb my face, before she pulled the hook out.I said just try pulling it out,if I can't take the pain,we'll numb it.She went to work, trying to push the barb out the otherside. She was a small dr.,and she couldn't do it.The pain of her trying was really bad,I was gripping the bed railing so hard, thought i'd twist it off. After a few minutes of trying, she gave up and called the male nurse over.He was stronger and pushed the barb out,so the dr. could cut it and pull the hook out.I thought the pain from having knee replacement surgery was bad, this was much worse. But the hook is out, and I just have a sore face. One of the questions that was asked of me at the hospital, was do I feel safe at home.I said yes,but I don't feel safe fishing anymore. That brought a few laffs from the staff,so I did my job,for the day.Lol

Shotgun season opened today,in Delaware.I can't go,because of my bad knee. But my son usually kills a few.A butcher we take our deer to,makes venison bacon.Damn it's good,he also makes scrapple, which I wanna try this year. The bolonga is what I love.My son killed a 7pt buck,in OcT.bUT THAT'S ANOTHER STORY.We couldn't take it to the butcher. My son cut it up,and I made ground meat with it.
