  1. Thank you! I joined their newsletter and also got a dollar off the order, putting it at a cool $18.99 with free shipping. At this price it's worth the experiment.
  2. They are very easy to install using a standard plate hanger from Home Depot. They are not the same as a PartyQ .http://www.homedepot.com/p/OOK-7-10-in-30-lb-Brass-and-Gold-Deluxe-Plate-Hanger-50471/100009254 But it serves the same purpose as the PartyQ right? For 1/5 the price yes. I've been using the latest PartyQ for ~5 months and it's awesome for low and slow cooks. My first one was 12 hours overnight, I'd check my phone every couple hours and the iGrill temp was dead nuts solid. That being said, I bought a TTT to try out. I like more simple mechanical things and if this works as well Ill probably sell the PartyQ. Kinda what I was getting at. If it does the same thing with similar results, I'll buy the TTT.

  4. Was this easy to install on the Akorn? Also, is this essentially the same thing as the PartyQ?
  5. Never done this. So it is a way to make a thinner patty? Why does it have to be smashed down after placing it on the heat? Why not just form a thin patty?
  6. I had to reorder a grill grate for the akorn and I also had good customer service from them.
  7. One of my favorite things to grill is skinless thighs. They're almost impossible to mess up because they never seem to dry out. Breasts, on the other hand, take some talent to make sure they're still juicy when plated.
  8. Similar thing happened to me... Didn't realize that the Akorn had a wheel stopper and it rolled off my patio during a windy day. I took the lazy route and just bought the one with the side cart, because I had already been eyeing it.
  9. That looks awesome. Been thinking about doing a prime rib for myself as well.
  10. Is the using direct or indirect heat (do you have another stone under the grate? I'm guessing not. I'm a newbie when it comes to pizzas.
  11. I can't leave my gate outside ever. Even if it is in the grill with a cover on it. Rust always forms. I take the grate out after use and store it in my garage. It's a pain in the ### but I never have rust form on my grate anymore.
  12. Where did you get those pizza pans?
