  1. Looks fantastic. That's the way to eat pulled pork.
  2. I'm in Colorado Springs. I'm thinking I ought to have grabbed more than one bag now, with Costco's return policy you can pretty much return anything. Try it and it's no good, back it goes. Thanks to all for weighing in. Thanks, I don't think it makes it out my way. Maybe not. But I will say I've never seen any lump in Costco before, not even when they carried the Vision Classic, so maybe it's on the way?
  3. They are the Pelican brand, not sure of the size but very sure of the price, $299-american for the smaller of the 2.

  5. Found this today at Costco, El Diablo brand. $13.99 for 40lbs seems like a great deal, although I did see one other post saying $11.99 for the same size. Only saw one review, anybody else using this stuff? I haven't opened it yet but the pieces feel huge in the bag and I can't hear any scrap/powder rolling around in the bottom. Hoping it cooks good as it seems my choices locally are pretty limited. Sorry for the bad pic.
  6. As one who really wants a "new joe" I must point out one other difference with the newer model- it also has the removable ash drawer, which I think would be way handy to have. Just one guys 2 cents.
  7. The food looks great, and 3000 is a boat load of posts. But I really like the Lonesome Dove reference, top 5 movies of all time.
  8. My pro c has the very same problem with the drawer, but with mine it's more the insert the drawer slides into. I called and explained the problem and they sent me a new drawer. Slid new drawer in, same problem. I'm wondering if there isn't a problem with the ceramic production itself that causes the insert to not mount flush, thus the drawer not sitting flush. It's nearly impossible for me to maintain any low temps. It will be interesting to see if your new drawer fits any better. Good luck.
