  1. DIY Maverick to iPhone (kind of...)

Have you thought of using the iGrill 2? I've personally used it and really enjoy it. The app, which works with iPhone 4S and up, is easy to use, and you can set it to track up to four probes. Good work around though!
  2. Vision XL

I'm assuming DFW is Dallas/Fort Worth. We have 2 grill at Fort Worth, TX and another 2 at Dallas, TX. The store numbers are 4742 and 8248. The item number is 187479. this information turned out not to be accurate at the Dallas location. Did you give them the item number? My list, which was updated 4/22, says that same store has 2 in stock. Just to clarify the store: http://www3.samsclub.com/clublocator/club_detail.aspx?myClub=8248 Please let me know, I'd like to investigate if they truly do not have it.
  3. Vision XL

Here are some of the pictures I mentioned I would post!

  5. Vision XL

Hello everyone. I haven't been given the go ahead to put the XL on our site yet, but I'd be more than happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability. I'd even be willing to take some pictures for those interested. Please let me know!
  6. Got my replacement gasket and ash rake

When I go on the Vision Grills website all I see is "Felt Gaskets" Best I can seem to find is from " Island Outdoor" which sells Vision Grill specific gaskets in Black Nomex for $24.50 from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gasket-Vision-FireBlack220-Lavalock-damper/dp/B00NTD0ET2/ref=sr_1_3?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1427811258&sr=1-3&keywords=Vision+Grill+Gaske I may order one soon just to have as a spare on hand when needed. We do not sell our Nomex online yet, but we do over the phone. We sell our Nomex for $27.99 which includes shipping within the Continental U.S. Thank you for the Info. Is it the Black self sticking one? The Nomex gasket is white, and the regular felt gasket is black.

  8. Is this normal on a Vision

Hello hogsfan. What does the rest of the fire bowl look like? The fire bowl could very well be pushed to one side. Also, measuring the diameter of the fire bowl could help narrow down what the issue is. Thanks
  9. Vision pro

The burn time between the Pro S and C are not going to be different. The longest I've cooked for was 10 hours, but I had plenty of charcoal left over and I normally fill up just past the air holes. I hope this helps, stevenw106
  10. Adjusting the lid

Hello Just4fn. I'd strongly suggest using Vision Grill's gasket for the grill due to the difference in thickness of our gasket and BGE's. I wouldn't try adjusting the banding, but maybe adjusting the dome will help. Loosen the large horizontal bolts on the top and bottom stainless steel banding without removing the nuts (located next to the rear hinge). Then, loosen the top and bottom acorn nuts on both sides of the rear hinge. This should allow the top to fall into place. You may need to provide some assistance by moving or lightly forcing the top up and down until it sits comfortably on the base. Once in place, lightly, tighten all the nuts and you should be good to go. Let me know how this goes.
  11. I have a leak somewhere in my classic b

The shipping is a flat $8.80 to Canadian customers for gasket sets. This includes our regular felt gasket and our Nomex gasket.
  12. No Visions at Costco Canada in 2015

I do. I mainly lurk and see what everyone is up to on here. When I go to answer a question it's normally already answered. I love how helpful this community is and I forward our new Vision Grills customers here all of the time.
  13. No Visions at Costco Canada in 2015

We're most definitely not pulling out of Canada. In fact, we have our Classic M being sold through Rona currently. There will be more retailers to come. We're no longer selling through Canadian Tire, but some left over grills may be found in store.
  14. I have a leak somewhere in my classic b

Vision's Nomex kit is $20 and worth every penny. I charred the original felt with my first pizza cookout. The Nomex has survived EVERYTHING i've thrown at it. Make sure you get the gasket replaced on the top vent too!!! We sell our Nomex for $27.99 which includes shipping within the Continental U.S. The kit comes with enough gasket for the vessel, dome, and the top vent.
  15. Vision Classic B Top Vent sticking fix

Your top vent has a spring-loaded adjustable nut on the inside which can be loosened. You might even want to remove the spring altogether. After several uses, it may become difficult to move the lever due to smoke build-up in the vent. It is a good idea to wash the top vent occasionally (with warm soapy water or in dishwasher) and apply some Pam or olive oil when clean. I haven't heard of using lemon juice, but it wouldn't hurt to try!
