  1. Following this conversation as well...
  2. Yeah...just had a full refrig and lots of people so i did't fool with salvaging the cut offs this time Well the ribs look good enough to impress anyone coming over, preparing the trimmings might have been perceived as showing off!! LOL
  3. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000T3OO8C?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage I love mine, I have several different sized plates for the different sized fries.
  4. So the challenge has come to an end. I lost a total of 70 pounds. I did win, but barely. The second place fella was within 3% of my weight loss. So now I guess the mission is to maintain. Thanks to everyone for the words of encouragement and for all of the advice. So maybe now I can get back to indulging occasionally with some fun cooks on the kamado. With moderation of course.
  5. The warranty process is simply, fast, and painless. Not sure about the gaskets, mine did not come with them.
  6. I bought them on sale at Menards. About $400.
  7. Multiple retaining wall blocks
  8. That video was like a fourth of July fireworks show with all the sparks!!! Looks like fun!
  9. Heck, I did pizza first day! I haven't had any problems. Well with the gasket anyways. Big Joe fire box, that's another story!! LOL
  10. I lit my Big Joe yesterday in four spots with my MAPP torch and had the burgers on in 15. And my Akorn always warmed up faster than my Big Joe.
  11. Look into a kreg jig. I think you will find that it costs less. They are really simple to use.
  12. I don't think I've ever seen anyone cook a burger without flipping it.
  13. I would be very concerned with the weight that they will be required to hold.
  14. I use this. http://www.amazon.com/Keter-Eden-Bench-Storage-Box/dp/B00E0JO5MG
  15. Mine didn't make it to the ground this winter
  16. Has anyone seen or tried these? http://www.fredsmusicandbbq.com/product_p/ibc1105.htm I know there was a thread on here where someone made there own similar to this. But I can't seem to find it for the life of me. I will be putting my Big Joe in a table eventually, but until then it would be nice to be able to store the racks and deflectors right on the cart. I think mostly it would be nice to be able to set down a hot rack on metal to make any adjustments to the D&C system.
  17. Oh I know. I've kinda been waiting on it. Lol
  18. I think it may be worth my wild to drive from Ohio to set that puppy up for you just to see the cooks your gonna do!
