  3. I tried to recreate DerHusker's Awesome cook, and well. . . It didn't turnout even close to Awesome! It was edible, and tased OK, but it wasn't DerHusker Good!
  4. My friend went out of Venice, LA. He and 3 others caught only 2 tuna the whole day. One of which was about 80lbs, but that slipped the gaff. Arrrrgh! The other was about 150lbs. That is the one they caught, but the only problem with that was, between the 4 of them, plus the captain, it took 3.5 hours to get it in the boat. Came home with fish, though!
  5. Always wanting to try something new, I went for seared tuna tonight. After my Pepper Stout Beef debacle I really wanted to have a good cook. The Special part about this cook was that a friend caught this tuna fresh from the Blue Water off of the Louisiana coast. He GENEROUSLY gave me a few packages of tuna. Well, I think it turned out Well! ! ! Kosher salt, and fresh ground pepper for the simple seasonings. 1 and a half minute sear per side. The wife made a dill aioli sauce for the spread. The eating was Fantastic! ! !

  11. The AKA - Pulled Beef did NOT Happen! All that work today ended in a disappointment. Not a Big disappointment, but a disappointment, none the less. As you can see the chuck did not Pull. Was it tasty? Yes it was! Was it tender-ish? Yes it was! Was it good eating? Yes it was! But it didn't turn out like DerHusker's, and my wife and I were waiting on the DerHusker end-product! Sorry for the anti-climactic photo spread! Better luck next time, huh?
