I've used Royal Oaks and the Primo brand before the Costco in Moncton, New-Brunswick started carrying Basques. Since then that's all I've used, I usually stockpile it before the winter so I'm good until spring. At 12.99 a bag you can't go wrong, the sizes are mixed like it's been said but I usually try to use that to my advantage. I never had any issues maintaining temp or anything. I'm thinking of trying the quebracho but having a hard time justifying more lump, lol.
I've been having great luck and delicious food with Basques for the last 3 years anyway.
