  1. Made my first ever flat brisket on the pit boss, was a big hit! Though I think I could of taken it off a bit sooner.
  2. Hello from Green Bay WI. I am a long time passionate griller and cook with many different grills. Up till now I have been smoking for years on a homemade 55 gallon drum with a smoke stack over an in ground fire pit. It has worked well but really wanted something that was a bit easier to control and also that can be used in colder temps. The pit boss at Costco for $400 was too good of a deal to pass up. I had my eye on a bge but I figured I would take a chance. This forum has been really great to help me get educated on this style of grill. I can't wait to get cooking and keep learning from those here with so much passion and experience.
  3. Picked up the Pit Boss 24 at local Costco on Friday. Assembled easy enough, did a slow burn at 200 (by dome thermo) for about 3 hours on Saturday. Been reading all the info on this site and ordered the spider, 2 half moon stones, Maverick dual thermo, some gloves, and hope to cook later this week!! Thanks for all the good info on this site.
  4. Hello, Just received a Pit Boss kamado from Costco as a present. I have been using a 20 year old (at least) weber bullet type smoker for a long time and am looking forward to using the kamado.
