  1. My wife has this banana bread recipe that she got from a friend years ago. She's tweaked it a little each time she's made it until we felt like it was perfect. And then we cooked it on the Akorn over hardwood lump and a couple of chunks of pecan wood. Now it's perfect!
  2. I made three batches of banana bread today. I did 2 in the oven and 1 on my Akorn. Here is the recipe I used. 1/2c. margarine, melted 1 c. sugar 2 eggs 2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 3 mashed bananas 1/2 c. nuts, optional Cream margarine and sugar; add eggs. Sift and add flour and soda. Add bananas and nuts. Put into loaf pan sprayed with Pam. Bake for 1 hour at350 degrees. The two running the same direction in the oven the other is the one from the Akorn.
