  1. ... Had to break it back in today! Last night I had the last of my smoked almonds so figured perfect opportunity to make some more! Especially since my endocrinologist says they're so healthy for me. First of all this is a variant of John's smoked almonds so I can't take the credit! Ingredients are simply almonds, peanut oil, salt & pepper, Frank's Red Hot and a few alder wood chunks. Bring up to 250 and smoke 35-40 minutes. And done!
  2. Here's a super-easy way to put together some snack food that will blow you away! This is also something that's easy to do after a longer cook while your brisket or butt is resting.... What you need: Raw Almonds Peanut Oil Seasoning Blend of your choice What to do: Preheat your Kamado to 250-275 degrees and add some smoke wood (I used apple) Coat Almonds with peanut oil (1 tsp oil per cup of raw almonds) Coat oiled almonds with seasoning (1 to 2 tsp per cup of almonds) Smoke on the grill for 25-30 minutes Let cool and serve!
  3. http://youtu.be/nV8_s60gD2U Here's another super easy treat... My girlfriend buys the Blue Diamond smoked almonds and pays a fortune for them. We can buy a 3lb bag of raw almonds at Sam's Club for under $11 and smoke and season them ourselves and she swears that these are as good or better than any she has ever bought...
