smoking-canuck
So I started replacing my gaskets and noted that the gaskets under the bands also seem in bad shape. Honestly - I either forgot or was not aware they were there. So should I replace them as well? Just remove the bands and remove/install the same way?has anyone else encountered this? Cheers. CharlieB_DE
....funny I just did my gasket on my kamado and after doing it thought just the same, mine aren't bad or that gone but just that I thought 'when I am doing it anyways'....but didn't have any Nomex left to do it....will be ok for at least another year then I can think about it....they look like they get a little compressed due to the bands screwed tight but not heat worn like the rim gasket that gets fired.....see what the KJ users say....
