bosco
Ok I am going to post some of my go to rubs that I have made over the past 2 years. This is my Memphis dry rub. I am sure that there are similar variations as there are only so many ways to skin a cat. Anyways here is my pork rub that I use Memphis Rub 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup paprika 2 tbsp Kosher Salt 1 tbsp Onion powder 1 tbsp Garlic powder 1 tbsp Chilli powder(or chipoltle powder) 1 tbsp Pepper 1 tsp Cayenne 1 tsp Cumin Sometimes I like the kick of chipoltle so I change up chilli powder for it. Chilli powder still my favourite method Nosbonsing, Remoh, Ben S and 12 others

Ben S
I am wondering how this rub would compare to the KJ smokey paprika...that is my goto rub on ribs.  good on chicken too  thanks Dub
bosco
Haven't tried it to give you a comparison. You could to smoked paprika instead of regular paprika. I try and avoid store bought rubs if I can. I like knowing that I can always make it if I run out Remoh, Big John Lehman and Ben S
Remoh
I guess we could call this Canaphis Seasoning? Not to be confused with cannabis seasoning.

Ben S
I tried this on some pan roasted chicken breast. It was good! I knew I would burn the sugar, but wanted to try it anyway. Next time it will have to go into slower cooked pork. thanks Ben
bosco
Sorry it burned. Glad that you liked it. It is sweet with a bit of a spice to it
bosco
made a triple batch of the rub today. Â Instead of 1tbsp of chilli powder I did half chilli powder and half chipotle powder. Â The colour of the rub is outstanding. Should be a good batch today!!
wilburpan
Stupid question: the 1 tbsp Pepper after the chili powder is ground black pepper, right?
