Tel tru thermometer

Recommended Posts

If you don't mind a re-branded Tel-tru:

This is the model which uses a nut to secure it.  If you need the type which uses a spring clip instead, the BGE version is what you need.

Out of curiosity, why not get the specific one from your manufacturer?

After torching 2 OEM Primo thermometers, I went with Tel Tru.  I called them first and found their Customer service to be very helpful.  If you are thinking of switching, I'd give them a call.

As Andy said, the Tel Tru is stock only on ProJoe and Komado Kamado.

You can order the BGE "fit" tel-tru through Amazon.  It has a narrower shaft and uses a spring clip to hold it in place.

Wouldn't the length of the thermometer be to long and hence touch the food ?.

I am looking to up grade my saffire thermometer but was under the impression I need a shorter stem that is threaded with a nut to screw it in place.
