Silly question - Where is the serial number?

Recommended Posts

How long is the number? I got 2 manuals at once from the road show (got 2 kjs) and neither KJ had a box so I don't know which manual is which. The number I used was a 4 digit number under the dome because there wasn't a number under the base

Welcome Stacy Davis.  :welcome:  Did you purchase a Vision kamado or a Kamado Joe kamado?  It's difficult to tell from your post. Did you purchase the kamado as a first time owner from an authorized retailer?  If so, I'm sure the retailer or the kamado's customer service department can help on both accounts.  If you are not the original owner or purchased the kamado from an unauthorized dealer, then you may have to purchase an owner's manual from another source.  Also, if you are not the original owner, registration for warranty purposes may not be possible.

Just bought a Classic II at the Jacksonville CostCo Road Show this morning.  The serial number is in the back of the owners manual, nothing embossed on this grill anywhere.

My question is, the number is preceded by two letter, GM in my case.  Is this included in the "serial number" box when we register the grill with Joe?
