IkeKey
As a relatively new KJBJ owner, this will be my first winter with a Kamado. With the weather in N.Illinois and the grill exposed to elements, I guess it would be a good time for some advice from all the Gurus in the Northern Tier on how to grill in the frozen tundra. Any perspectives ❓

rwalters
Pretty sure anyone that has been cooking on a kamado for more then a year -AND- lives in an extremely cold winter climate, will tell you the same thing... GRILL ON!!!!!! IkeKey
prowe
When you have a blizzard first shovel a path to the grill, light, add wings. Go shovel the driveway. Take wings off. Enjoy. IkeKey, 280sport and invisiblekid

WhoDat
Tell me about it, probably only get to wear shorts and flip-flops for another month or two. After that, I may have to wear socks and long pants. We may even dip below freezing, for a couple hours this year. I feel your pain! rwalters and bwarbiany

Rival
I am really excited for this winter, it's my first with my Akorn. Having kids with January birthday's, I am happy that I can make "real" pulled pork or sausage and peppers or whatever for food, instead of always doing crock pot stuff. WhoDat
Nooo!!!! Hopefully, only for a couple months. Still, it;s a heck of a lot cheaper to heat a house with gas than it is to cool that sucker with juice. I do look forward to going from ~$300mo Summer A/C bills to ~$100mo gas and juice, in the Winter. Better yet, those couple months in-between where we're well under that. Ahhh.... Remember a couple Christmases, growing up in New Orleans, where we ran the A/C... LOL Tell me about it, probably only get to wear shorts and flip-flops for another month or two. After that, I may have to wear socks and long pants. We may even dip below freezing, for a couple hours this year.I feel your pain! We might even have to turn the heaters on!!
