What's a good grill cover for the classic Joe?

27 posts in this topic

I have the original cover when I bought my Joe but when it rains water and moisture goes through it. No rips or tears on it at all.

Anyone use something different than the original?

Thanks

I got a Kamado Joe brand cover with my first ever Classic KJ, in December.  Its been in use now for only about 3 weeks, and has seen a lot of rain, and some sun.

I know that's a short test period, but I can say far it seems to be perfect, and its a nice cover that is easy to get on and to take off. ,

Thanks boss

Toaster mines going on a year old and the thing I can think of that's changed cover time was the water from rain coming through it.

I don't think it done this at first but something I noticed started happening as time went by.

It's definitely va great cover

It fits loose so it goes on easy but I have one with straps and quick snap buckles that go around two of the cart legs. I saw where the cover for the large BGE will fit the KJ classic. I ordered the one for the XL BGE and it bound at the hinge because of the bulk in the KJ hinge over the XL BGE hinge. I got in touch with Hyrum, the owner, and sent pics of the BIG JOE with dimensions and he sent me one with the top panel cut oval instead of round and it fit perfect. The customer service I received from this guy was outstanding. They come in black and green and the best price I found was on amazon.--Ken

Can anybody rate The Cover Store cover vs. The Ravenna sold on Amazon for the Classic Joe II?  My grill is coming this week and I want to keep it relatively new as long as possible.

I can vouch for the Ravenna covers. I have about a half dozen of them covering various things. My oldest one is a few years old and is exposed to the weather 24/7/365 and while it has faded a little bit it is still waterproof and the fabric/seams are still strong.

I think they are hard to beat for the price.

I have the Cover Store Ultima cover on my BJ. 1 year old and still looks like the day it arrived. Very waterproof. This one would be hard to beat.

I just use the OEM KJ cover. I secure it to the legs with clothes pins.  That said, I am sure there are better covers available.  I'm just too cheap to get one until I need it.
