They can stay safely hot for several hours. No need to reheat. At least I never had too.  For longer stays or road trips, I've used heated firebricks in the cooler to help keep up the temp.  If you're not going anywhere, just throw it in the oven on low.

I've kept mine in the cooler for 4-5 hours and it was still as hot as if it came straight off the grill
