For those who own the BKK 5000

I have owned my 4000 for a few years now. I have a aging and rusting AKORN I want replaced (noticed i said "want" not "need")lol. For those of you who own the 5000 is there any sealing needed? I recall (and i could be wrong) i sealed something on the 4000? I love that BBQ the quality and build are second to none. Looking forward to getting another KEG.

I had a 2000 which I sealed after seeing the moisture from the vent.  I have not sealed my 5000 and not seen any indication it was necessary.

Fired my new 5000 up yesterday and noticed smoke leaking round the top / bottom of the ash drawer and round the back of the lid near the hinge when i closed both vents, looks like I might need to do some extra sealing with something........

I wouldn't worry about it just yet.  Once you close up if there is heat inside you are creating pressure, it has to escape somewhere.  The real question is will it smother within 10-20 minutes after a shut down.
