John Setzler
This 10k route kicked my butt back in August when I tried to run it originally. This is a race that starts a couple blocks away from my house. The 10k route is down hill all the way to the turn around point and up hill all the way back as you can see from the climb chart here. I guess it helps that it was 55 degrees at run time today instead of 80+ degrees that it was in August when I first attempted this. My run total today on this run was 6.73 miles because I started at my house rather than at the official starting point. That added about a quarter mile each way but the extra mileage is always good! This was my second run of over 6 miles this week. I will have one more coming on the Turkey Trot 10k I'm running Saturday morning. Next week I need to get an 8.5 mile or better run in the books... Mikeincalgary
It's always nice to have the elevation gain for last 1/2 of a run! Lol John Setzler
modenacart
I find running downhill to be much harder on form. It seems to help teach you to move your legs faster too.
