The Machine
I just got my Vision S...scouring the internet trying to figure out a deflector set-up that suits me. Looking at the KJ D/C and the CGS Woo. Question...can I flip a Woo upside down to really get that pizza up into the dome? Any guidance on what I should be buying before I drop $200 on a set-up? I want low/slow, high heat grill, direct/indirect grill and most of all PIZZAS! ...and go!

Jesse
That wouldn't really work like you think, what I have and use for pizza is the Woo with the extender sliding rack. The extender rack gives me 2 layer cooking and I can place the pizza stone on the top rack to get the pizza up high like you want. I have a large egg. smoker08
I know this may not be what you want to hear, but I would get what ever you need for everything but pizza, then I'd get a Blackstone Patio Pizza Oven for all pizza tasks. https://www.blackstoneproducts.com/product/pizza-oven/ Walmart web says they sell for $286.81. We have had ours for a couple years and LOVE it. You can cook deep dish to true Neapolitan pies. Temp can get up to 1000F so perfect for Neapolitan pies. Besides, as you'll learn soon enough this forum doesn't only deal with kamodos, but all forms of cooking. Whatever you decide, get it, get cooking, and post pics. The Machine
Thanks. I have been searching the forums and scouring the internet. My brain hurts. I think the D&C is what I want....just not the price tag! Lol
Cgriller64
I hear ya. I own the D&C which came with my Joe and if it didn't I would buy one in a heart beat. Worth every dime IMHO. Definately wait for Keeper to chime in before making your decision. He owned a Vision for quite awhile and bought a CGS spider and loved it. He continues to use it on his BGE to this day. He often does pizza on his Kamado and gets great results. I don't know the specific model he owns but I'm sure it's similar to this one. https://ceramicgrillstore.com/pages/large-adjustable-rig-spider-vision-grills-pizza
GLOCKer
I have had a lot of luck with just using a diffuser stone down low, and putting the pizza on a cast iron pizza pan on the top rack that came with my Vision S-series. Nothing crazy or fancy! DougRuss, TKOBBQ, Marty and 2 others
