Table/Stand Ideas for Kamado Joe Junior

Recommended Posts

I'm hoping to get some ideas for a table or stand for my Joe Junior. My being 6'5" tall means setting it on the ground is just too low for me to properly operate it. I'd like to get the grill up to the same level as my classic. I don't want to make a table. I'm wanting to find something that I can buy (inexpensive) which will be strong enough and durable for being left outside. I have searched Amazon but I'm not finding much.

Look on Etsy.  For example, JJ George can make whatever size you want.  https://www.etsy.com/listing/483237393/big-green-egg-mini-max-table

There is a new fella..Mark from Colorado iirc who has a JJGeorge stand. It is quite beautiful.

Yes, a JJGeorge table might be just what you are looking for. I had one made for my new KJ Classic II and am very pleased with it. I would imagine this table would fit the KJ junior. If not, they could modify it to whatever is necessary.

Looks great.  Did you buy that in-store or on WalMart online?

Was it pre assembled?

What materials is it made out of?

and do you know it's height?

I assume it's nice and sturdy and able to hold the weight of the Joe Jr and not risk toppling over when you open the lid quickly, etc?

thanks,

Talbert

I got it online here:

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Costway-Brown-Rattan-Wicker-Steel-Side-Table-Outdoor-Furniture-Deck-Garden-Patio-Pool/115087490

It requires assembly, really easy. Very strong and no issues with the Junior being stable. I used some heavy duty cable ties and anchored the Junior stand on the table so that it will not move at all.

Overall dimension:21.8''x21.8''x18.1''(LXWXH)

It is made of steel, the only pvc parts are the wicker you see on the sides. This is perfect for the Junior and the grill sits at precisely the same height as the classic which is 36.5" from the ground to the top of the handle.

Highly recommend it.

My jr sits in a KJC stand.

I was originally going that route, but I could not find anyone selling them near me (after building a table). The KJC stand only sell for $120 plus shipping. On that basis I though the small Walmart table was a good deal.

I can’t argue with that logic.

Mewantkj, how does that KJ classic stand work with the KJJr?  Don't know what the "rails" look like that it would sit on.  Is is really good and stable?  Any downsides?  Anything you can tell me would be appreciated.  Thanks!

Woe

Hey, I just saw this. I don’t see any downsides, I don’t think the stand is designed to hold the JR, but it works. I know you can find pictures online, I don’t have any availabile.
