Moose roast - ideas / opinions

Got a roughly 5 lbs moose roast I want to smoke.  I dont have a kamado YET so was going to do it in my electric smoker.


Not sure on what plan of attack I should take though... I've always had wild game roasts done in a crock pot or as a stew (easiest way to keep the meat tender) 


I know its a really lean piece of meat so I was thinking of doing a brine and also injecting it.  Even then no idea what would even go well with the meat as far as what kind of brine and injection...


Whats your opinion? any recipe favorites from experience? I did a brief search on here and didnt dig up much.
