jhowardwilliams
Hello all, I was just wandering what people do with their hot deflector plates when removing them in order to crank up the grill for searing. I've been placing mine on a cement area below my grill, but this isn't ideal for various reasons. I'm also going to be building a table in the next month or so and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on anything I can add to that for this scenario. Thanks! AZMDTed
https://www.amazon.com/Grate-Rack-Kamado-Joe-Big/dp/B00TFYS7P2 I have two grate racks that I use now in lieu of sitting them on my pavers if I have to take them out while they're still hot. These racks are inexpensive and handy, especially for hot heat deflectors. I have two, one on each side of my KJC.

UTVol
My wife had a couple of these for her stones. I snagged one and it stays outside. I rest hot stuff on this, works like a champ. https://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&ccid=8eDNhUxW&id=81B0134C18EB39866DF37DE70886FD7F86930DAC&thid=OIP.8eDNhUxWnF86lBQmUhMjkgHaHa&mediaurl=https%3a%2f%2fs-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com%2f736x%2fd1%2f18%2ff1%2fd118f11b24cecc6585be3744bfa7fb15--pampered-chef-products-the-pampered-chef.jpg&exph=500&expw=500&q=pampered+chef+cooking+stone+holder&simid=608003501237472005&selectedIndex=2&ajaxhist=
