Welcome and glad to have both you and your new Joe with us. That pic is beautiful and should be a fixture in every  post titled "Can I cook on my kamado in cold weather" A picture is worth 1,000 words. One of my favorite things to do on my Big Green Egg besides cooking pizza, is to adapt detailed gourmet recipes from non BBQ cookbooks and cook them on my kamado. A kamado in truth is an outdoor, charcoal fired, convection oven, and  more than  just another BBQ or Smoker. With some adaptation, you can cook anything on your kamado you can cook in a kitchen or commercial oven. Enjoy your new grill and the forum conversation, as well. Happy Cooking.
