MossyMO

Brisket - North Dakota Style

Recommended Posts

Yesterday we had a brisket injected and seasoned but it was 10 below out with -35º to -45º windchills. Whatever, just a chilly inconvenience… drum smoker set up using other grills, table and snow bank as a wind break.

Wow!

Wow for the brisket, juicy!

Wow for the windbreak lol, what a great lineup of grills!

And here I was thinking I was inconvenienced with a little chilly rain tonight!

Looks great, @MossyMO!  We were cold down here in WY, but not that cold.  How did the drum do with the cold?  Did you have to refuel?  I’m always intrigued with other cookers.

Drum work hard but held its own and didn't have to refuel. Very impressed for being uninsulated for sure!

Great looking brisket! If it's that cold there now, I know in a few days that it will be on the Northeast's doorstep..... Wishing for some milder days, and could easily do with NO MORE SNOW!

Excellent looking brisket, MossyMo.  Excellent knife-work, too.

BTW, it appears that Tatonka Dust isn't back.  It's not in the photograph.

I envy you living up there.  I'd move back in a heartbeat but Marcia says, "No!"

Thanks!

Working with a new copacker on the Tatonka Dust, hope to have some news soon...

This was an excellent winter to not be in North Dakota, it has been out of the ordinary cold and snow amounts above average!
