I'll get back to you in August when my wife's landscaping hides most of the sins on my grill pad.

9 years of use and abuse from me and Chicago weather has left my pavers crumbling.

Made some upgrades since I posted. My wife added a mini fridge for me and we added lights, ceiling fan, and sun shades.

Looks good. Mrs skreef really wants some sun shades on our porch.

I bought mine at Lowes and I recommend you get 95% UV block or more, I brought home the 80% UV block first and it just wasn't near enough shade so I returned them and got the 95% and I'm definitely satisfied with these. They do blow in the wind so you will have to think about a way to prevent that, I use bungee straps on the post.

For those that have a covered patio, does the smoke cause an issue?  I'm looking for ideas to cover an outdoor kitchen/patio and wondered if smoke would bother people or even damage the roof over time.

If your grill still has wheels you can adjust for the wind. When I get a table made, it will be mobile. Pics to follow, it's dark right now.

That makes cooking with fire look so much fun, great set-up!
