Soon-to-be Kamado owner

Hello everyone. I'm planning on getting a Kamado Joe Classic II around the end of June after we get a new home, hopefully at a Houston-area Costco roadshow that's going on around that time.


I love cooking outside, and have been a charcoal and Weber guy forever, but like the features and capabilities of the KJ. I'm mostly a ribs cooker, but I'm looking forward to long brisket cooks on the Kamado.


Since I have time, I'm looking forward to reading tips and barbecue ideas for the future.
