Plastic Safety?

Hey Guys, I got an Anova SV for Christmas and I'm excited to try it out! My wife is a cancer survivor and so we are a little over sensitive with stuff like chemicals leaching into our food. There is a ton of conflicting info out there online but I figured I'd post the topic on here cause I trust this forum to be a pretty balanced set of people.

Let me know what you think? I don't have a vacuum sealer so my plan was to just use ZipLock brand freezer bags...

Thanks

Glad the wife is OK. Went through a cancer scare with my wife too.

Bottom line is it's safe. Everything causes cancer in this day and age. Cooking with charcoal, eating meat that is cooked where it has burnt edges or crust causes cancer. Eating sausage with nitrates causes cancer.....and on and on and on.

Good rule to live by....everything in moderation.  I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

My 2 cents.
