Pallet prep table/dining table

Recommended Posts

So during winter I do snow plowing and since there has been only a couple days of actual work I am strapped on money... I started looking at my pallets that I had lying around and looked through my tool box and found some screws and here we are... this is only the first day. I still need to sand, coat, add casters, a bottom shelf and a leaf on each side to turn into an eating table when needed.

I Like. In my quest to find low cost wood, I tried pallet wood for some projects. -spent much time tearing the pallets apart, not an easy task, low useable wood yield. I went back to bought wood mostly for wood consistency. My tools and my back are much happier.

I will be sealing it only if it comes out the way I like. I agree pallet wood wouldn't have been my first choice. But so far I have spent no money, which was my ultimate goal here. I already had tools and screws. I'll buy foldable hinges if it comes out pretty decent. In the future I can always take those off and put them on more sturdy wood if I want. I'll update once I have both leafs done.

There is nothing wrong with pallet wood if you have the time to spend on the deconstruction of the pallets. I made my wood store/prep table out of it and it's great .IMG_20180424_153431.thumb.jpg.523c6b0a48212f7327dd5763aafee4ec.jpgIMG_20180424_153441.thumb.jpg.7e35c32fcea4a72f724f889b6a402a07.jpgIMG_20190505_082144.thumb.jpg.a849ccdc003b7e6292c92bf7c259f226.jpg
