Kamado Joe Costco Roadshow 2020

I doubt you will see the Gen III products at Costco. Never say never but I’ve always thought that the Costco program was meant to “seed” the marketplace and gain tremendous exposure to the brand. To those ends the products with the more mid-range price points seem best-suited for the Costco membership.

Pricing for the Gen II products seems to be the same as last year.

I doubt the Series 3 will ever be sold at the roadshow while the Series 2 grills are still being produced (which they are)

The only reason the Series 2 ever made it to the roadshow was the Series 1 was discontinued

From what i've read from KJ, the Series 2 will continue to be produced and offered to the market in order to fit the mid tier price point some customers fit into

Went to the first day of the roadshow in Fort Worth, TX on 1/31/2020. They only have the series 2 Classic, Big Joe and the Jr. and the Joetisserie. My neighbor got a Classic and I was lucky enough to get the Big Joe demo unit. I pick it up on the last day of the show this coming Sunday, 2/9/2020. Got a Joetisserie while I was at it.

While I would certainly love a 3 series, I couldn’t pass up the price at the roadshow and the extras that come with the demo unit.

How much was the big joe 2?

Maybe a little OT, but last year I never saw the roadshow on the schedule for my local Costco (Maplewood, MN), and it was just there one day when I showed up. Has anyone else ever seen the roadshow appear at a Costco but not be on the schedule, and how would I possibly find out if this was the case this year? Thanks.

Sometimes a roadshow may take place off schedule but it's rare. Maybe because a particular warehouse could not accommodate the roadshow that week and had to shift to another location. All you can do is keep checking the schedule and also calling your local Costco and telling the manager that you want another KJ roadshow. They like the input from members.

ETA: Did you mean Maple Grove, MN?

ETA2 - never mind, found Maplewood.

I am wondering if Costco has discontinued carrying Kamado.  I ordered the Classic II a couple of weeks ago (they had a good sale price- $999). They also had the KJ Charcoal for $20 a bag.  Just now I was looking on Costco's website and a search of "Kamado Joe" turned up NOTHING.

There's this thing going on called COVID-19 that has all sorts of manufacturing and logistics at a standstill.

I heard something about that COVID-19 thing, but why did Costco suddenly remove every  Kamado Joe product from their website, when other items  on backorder, are just notated as being on backorder?
