Avid Armor Ultra Series Chamber Sealer Review / Demo

Recommended Posts

I have a 215. No issues at all.

Buy once cry once. I use almost daily.  Getting parts if needed after is something to consider.  Major reason for going with the 215.

For what john spent on both he could have a 215.

My 2 cents.

The problem is not the money.  The problem is that i don't want something as large as the 215.  The DZ-260C was about the same size as the 215 and it's problematic for me.  This Avid Armor is not giving me space, size, or weight issues.

I am looking at getting an Avidarmor machine but I need it to seal retort bags and I understand not all machines will.  I know the Avidarmor has the required dual seal bar, can anyone confirm that it will seal the retort bags properly?  I plan on canning in the retort bags.

@John Setzler I can mail several to you for testing if interested.

@philpom I don't have the avid armor any more.. I switched to the jvc vac100

Any particular reason that should steer me away from the avid armor?  If I send them the retort bags they will test for me.

No... I don't think there is any real reason to avoid it.  It's the only one I have used so far that has that double seal feature.
