This 30+ year machete from Brazil was never properly sharpened to have functioning edge.   Very amateur uneven grinding was done on blade, most likely done to be Ornament blade on wall.   I am using my Ken Onion knife sharpener with angle grinder attachment to re-profile blade for functioning edge.   I estimate I  still have around 3 mm of steel I need to grind away from about 45 cm of the blade.  I got 20 cm of upper part of blade to angle I want.   I need to get some P90 belts to take more steel off in order to achieve angle I am targeting.   The P120 belts are not removing enough steel.   I have attached picture showing how clean the top 20 cm can cut.  I and thinking of removing rivets on handle to complete rust removal then redo handle.  This is my project for the summer.
