Gebo 35
Which lump and briquets are actually made in the USA? With USA trees? Please don't flame me. I can do a lot of searching but I figure you can answer this easier than me googling.

Gebo 35
Those are the only two I am aware of. I'd imagine there are a lot of smaller companies as well. Just looking for a hidden gem. I listened to a Podcast from Rockwood from January '19 and it was very educational. That is what got me to considering trying some USA made charcoal. Lot's of charcoal advertise the "carbon %" Is there a minimum or a "perfect" percentage? Thanks!
Dogstar 35
If you look at the Royal Oak website, and the "dancing around it" terminology they use, they clearly use some labor and wood product that are not in / from the USA. Though for a large business, they are probably as USA based as you'll find. I do agree with your thought that a smaller company is your best bet in that regard, and Rockwood might be one. I see you're in VA. You can't be that far from some kind of somewhat local supply.
Grill_Boy 480
ACE Hardware carries Rockwood, their site lets you search by zip code for locations and it gets real good reviews too, I may try a bag.

Pinky 0
Dizzy Pig in Manassas, VA carries Rockwood in the store at around $25/bag, plus a few other brands of premium lump. https://dizzypigbbq.com/contact-us/
Gebo 35
I did buy a bag of Rockwood, B&B and Royal Oak. It was interesting how much larger the 20 lb bag of Rockwood was. Volume wise.
