Smash Burgers

Recommended Posts

Normally I'd heat up a cast iron skillet, gas grill & cook.  Don't have the gas grill any longer.

Can you use the heat deflectors KJ II classic to smash & cook; my cast iron does not quite fit.

Any cast iron that would work for 2 - 4 burgers, at a time?

Thanks

Half moon cast iron on a big Monolith Kamado. I can get six good sized burgers cooked at the same time.

Rico to answer your question I would say no. The ceramic would suck in the grease and may cause problems plus the meat might adhere to the ceramic. I have no experience with this just a wag.

Just get a $20 lodge 10-1/4" skillet. It should fit in the KJ.
