Got a 1l bottle of a single barrel Woodford Reserve yesterday.

The tasting notes are: a sharp medley of brown, savory, and green spices complimented by dark cherry and dried cranberry with light hints of caramel and vanilla.

I think I’d have to go for that Blanton’s. Now that the weather here is finally cooling off, I’ll be switching my beverage of choice from vodka and tequila drinks to bourbon and whiskey. Life is full of difficult choices…

Yeah...Blantons is the favorite...but also the harder bottle to find around here.

The Evan Williams Single Barell is gone.

Added a bottle of Weller Antique since then...probably done adding til after Christmas (other than the Crown Salted Caramel as it comes out over the holidays).

Picked up a couple new ones.

Balcones Rumble and something called The Burning Chair.

Rumble tastes just like the label says, like it was made from flowers, honey and figs.

The Burning Chair is very easy to drink, despite being 59.2%. The glass stopper was a nice touch.

I have some good friends who are bourbon fans.  One of them gifted me this bottle yesterday..... I can't wait to try it.

Do you know that there are 8 different corks for the bottles? Each one shows the rider and horse in a different stage of a race.
